Artist Note: Mid-Ohio is a track that rewards rhythm and precision, and I wanted this piece to reflect that sense of flow. Being at the race in person gave me a stronger sense of how the cars move through the circuit, and I tried to carry that feeling into the painting. The papaya-liveried Arrow McLaren Chevrolet provided a strong visual anchor for exploring motion, speed, and atmosphere while keeping the focus on the driver’s presence within the machine. Knowing this became a winning race for Pato in 2024 adds another layer of meaning to the moment captured here.
