For as long as I can remember, art has been my way of seeing the world.
When I was ten, I underwent spinal fusion surgery to correct a birth defect and spent six months in a body cast while recovering at home. My fifth-grade year unfolded not in a classroom, but in the quiet stillness of healing. Yet in that stillness, I found movement through imagination. With prism glasses angled toward my sketchpad, I drew while lying flat—letting my mind travel where my body could not.
While others found freedom in sports, I found mine in pencil lines and brushstrokes. Art became both sanctuary and language—my way to translate curiosity, solitude, and wonder into form.
That creative impulse led me to the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, where I studied among gifted mentors and peers. It was there that I learned to see beyond what exists—to envision what could be. Around that same time, I discovered the art of shaping outdoor spaces. Drawn to this living canvas, I transferred to Vincennes University, where I earned a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design.

For more than 35 years since, I’ve built a career blending creativity, craftsmanship, and connection to nature—first as a landscape designer and business owner, and later as a creative professional serving the landscape industry through design, branding, photography, and storytelling. Whether shaping earth or pixels, my work has always been guided by the same principles: balance, beauty, and intention.
About ten years ago, my creative journey came full circle. I returned to the act that started it all—drawing. Only now, my canvas glows with light instead of paper grain. Working digitally feels as tactile and expressive as traditional media—each stroke of the stylus echoing the same joy I felt as a child discovering art for the first time.
I’m endlessly grateful for my wife and children, whose love and encouragement inspire me daily. They remind me that creativity is not just something we practice—it’s a way of living.
Many of my digital paintings are available through my online gallery as museum-quality giclée prints, canvas works, and more.
